Emotion

Tomorrow is the appointment day at the cancer clinic and the part of this process you don’t get to hear are the fights and meanness that comes out Leslie and me as the uncertainty grinds on us. We don’t mean it, it just comes out, so these songs that make you cry are for my Wife Leslie and my friend Maha who grieves for her Dad.

Will be thinking of you tomorrow. And cannot believe you were thinking of me today. I love weepy songs. Lots of love

Glad you like the songs. Leslie and me have been through a lot since we got together in 1972 after we met at a night school course. Easy to hurt others when they are close.
A while ago you mentioned, I think, that your Dad died suddenly and you wondered if he thought of you in the last moments. As focused as I’ve ever been on myself in crisis, there hasn’t ever been a time of feeling alone. Like it or not for theories of “the end”, (try reading “Being With Dying”) people are everywhere in you and can’t be shooed away for any reason. I don’t think any of us are independent of the people we know. They fill us to every corner of ourselves. You too.
      Scott
